My Story
I have only recently realized that the majority of my paintings are capturing quiet moments, peaceful and tranquil, as if to preserve a moment of beauty and calm in a world of too much background noise.

16” x 10” oil on linen
Back in 1998, I left a job as a scenic artist and manager for a company that did commercial art production. For the next 10 years I painted murals and decorative wall finishes in expensive houses, restaurants, and many other places. Perhaps you recall the business name Faux Pas ? ( I do still do this )
I was busy and swamped until this little thing called a recession.
Somewhere in there I started to do oil paintings on canvas. Just a few at first. Working out of my basement for about 3 years. Then I moved into the Northrup King Building, renting a small portion of Ingrid Restemeyer’s studio. She put up with me and somehow ten years went by.
Since September of 2021 I have been in my very own studio. My first own space since 2008. Still in the Northrup King Building, in NE Minneapolis, studio 403 on the fourth floor, almost as far as possible from the people elevator.
I have over 50 paintings on display, ranging in size from 7” to 84”
And I do love visitors
